Steve James
Owner & Bike Fitter

Bicycle: Legend Queen and Legend 11.5

Steve got into cycling watching Lance Armstrong achieve seven consecutive Tour de France wins.

His love for the sport really blossomed when in 2007 he joined the local club Kingston Wheelers. It was on one of these community rides that a good mate gave him the idea of opening up a bike shop of his own.

In 2011, dream become a reality for Steve and his family with the creation of Velosport in Putney. The rest is history!

Steve loves his friends, beer and his wife’s homemade cake.

Steven Hugo
Assistant Manager & Web content builder

Bicycle: Pinarello FP Team

Steven got into cycling at a very young age watching the Tour de France with his father. Predominantly into mountain bikes as a child, it wasn’t until his late teens that he caught the road cycling bug. Steven loves nothing more than hitting the Surrey hills first thing in the morning and taking summer rides down to the coast.

Outside of cycling, Steven likes to unwind with his guitar and some good food.

Dominic Dymond
Store Manager

Bicycle: Cinelli Vigorelli Custom

Coming from a BMX racing family, Dom started his two wheeled journey at the tender age of 5. Racing BMX for 10 years before taking on the extreme side of the sport.

His passion for the bigger wheeled bikes only blossomed in the last 7 years after moving to London, triggering when he first jumped on a road bike and felt the speeds it could get up to.

After getting his adrenaline fix and a couple hours in the saddle, Dom loves to chill at home producing music.

Gustavo Zibetti
Sales, Workshop & Fitting

Brazilian born, Gustavo first got into cycling when he would cycle to work in Brazil. After moving to the UK, his passion for road cycling really took off and he decided to undertake a course in mechanics and qualified at Cytech level 2. Following on from that, Gustavo did a Precision bike fit course and 3 years ago began work in a bike shop in South London. Once involved in the cycle industry, he decided to build his own bike and travelled to America to do a frame build course. He returned with a Titanium bike frame that he designed, fabricated and built himself and he still rides this now. He has become a bike frame painter in his free time.

Gustavo especially likes long distance riding and has just returned from the Tour of Flanders Sportive. He also really enjoys cycling in the mountains in France or Italy. The bigger the mountain the better. Outside of cycling, Gustavo has a keen interest in house music production. He has a number of published tracks and continues to make music.

At Velosport, Gustavo’s role covers workshop, bike fitting and sales. He particularly likes helping people starting out in their cycling journey choose the right bike, maximize their potential from the outset and reduce their risk of injury.
