An electric bike – often know as an e-bike – is a motor assisted ride. For the most part, they are a combination of a conventional bike with a battery and a motor, which takes some of the effort out of pedalling.

The technology in e-bikes has improved so much recently and they offer existing a cyclists looking to cover more miles with greater ease or just commute to work without arriving in a sweaty mess a great alternative to their road, MTB or hybrid bike. E-bikes are also an entry into the cycling world for non cyclists looking to get around on their own steam and keep pace with experienced cycling friends.

E-bikes come in a range of road, hybrid and MTB.

At Velosport we currently offer e-bikes from Orbea and Simplon with two Simplon e-bikes in store to test. Come and see for yourself!

The Gain was designed to enhance your ride, not dominate it. The Enough Power and Enough Energy concepts result in an exceptionally lightweight, sportive and rideable bike – a machine that heeds the call of the open road. There are no bulky components to reduce the riding experience, distractions have been minimized so it’s just you, Gain and the hours ahead.

Gain is a gravel, road or commuting bike. The clearance, the ability to mount accessories like mud guards combined with a functional all-road geometry means it  can change.

The sophisticated drive system provides enough smooth and reliable assistance at levels designed to enhance your ride, not dominate it. And since the motor is at the hub you’ll experience drag-free pedalling when Gain is not providing a push.
